Numerous irregularities cited in environmental licensing process for the San Antonio & Jirau dams
Last Friday the 26th of June, Friends of the Earth - Brazilian Amazon (SP), the Association of Defense Etnoambiental Kanindé (RO) and the Coordination of Indigenous Organizations of the Brazilian Amazon (COIAB) filed two public civil actions in the Federal Court of Rondonia against the licensing of the Jirau and Santo Antônio dams in the Madeira River.
