The consultations were originally scheduled for March 2007. New consultations are tentatively scheduled for the late second quarter of 2007.

Dear Colleagues,
We would like to inform you that the consultation workshops for ADB’s Safeguard Policy Update (SPU) originally scheduled for March 2007 have been postponed. The postponement is required to allow us to finalize a consultation draft of the Safeguard Policy Statement that can serve as an adequate basis for consultation. ADB plans to make the draft available at least 30 days before the consultation.
Tentatively, the SPU consultation meetings will be scheduled in late second quarter 2007. We will inform you as soon as possible when a revised schedule is finalized.
We would appreciate your continued cooperation for the SPU and we apologize sincerely for any inconvenience this may have caused.
